Arab World for Research and Development (AWRAD) conducted a public opinion poll in the West Bank and Gaza Strip from October 6 to October 17, 2024. This survey followed two previous surveys conducted in May and August 2024, aiming to highlight the perspectives of Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza and amplify their voices amid ongoing conflict and the lack of political prospects. The survey covered the following topics: Gaza war, the day after, living conditions, peace process and negotiations, assessment of government performance, humanitarian assistance, and elections.
Phone and face-to-face interviews were used to collect the data. Phone interviews were conducted with 281 Palestinians (97 in the West Bank and 184 in Gaza) using a systematic selection from a comprehensive database to ensure unbiased representation. Additionally, face-to-face interviews were conducted with 721 Palestinians (514 in the West Bank and 207 in Gaza) by AWRAD’s team. The total sample included 1,002 participants, with 611 from the West Bank and 391 from Gaza (61% to 39%). The team accounted for demographic changes due to displacement caused by the conflict, and the sample was weighted to align with official population statistics. The margin of error for this survey is ±3.2% using a 95% confidence interval.
