Training for the Judicial System Surveys Project.

Fifty researchers and staff members participated in a two-day training seminar in perpetration for the fielding of the Netham Project surveys (DPK-USAID) in cooperation with the Supreme Judicial Council (JSC). The training included an introduction on Netham and its objectives, and the five surveys that will be directed at the general public, judges, lawyers, court staff and users. Among the distinguished participants, speakers and trainers were: Mr. Fahd Al-Qawasmi and Mr. Majed Arouri from the JSC, Mr. Qais Jabereen, Mr. Salah Soubani, Mr. Hussein Sholi and Ms. Hassna Dajani -- all from Netham, Dr. Hassan Abu Hassan, Mr. Ayoub Mustafa, Mr. Samih AbdelSamad, Ms. Reem Ziad – Ghattas, and Dr. Nader Said from AWRAD. Forty two field researchers and supervisors participated in the training from all West Bank regions. The focus of the training was on the following fields: the nature of the judicial system, the objectives of the surveys, sampling, the questionnaires, and interviewing and data collection.
